The Yawkey Baseball League is proud to announce Alex Montero of the Brighton Black Sox as the 2025 Dick Radatz Fireman of the Year.
While his outings occasionally brought some drama — issuing 12 walks and hitting 11 batters over 10.1 innings — Montero proved to be one of the league’s most effective relievers. He allowed just five hits and struck out 11 while recording a league-leading four saves. Of his 11 appearances, six were scoreless, helping anchor the Black Sox bullpen throughout the season.
