
Sam Browning of the Al Thomas Athletics has been named the 2025 Carl Yastrzemski Most Valuable Player.
Over the course of 23 games, Browning collected 40 hits for a .556 Batting average. He scored 22 runs while driving in 38 to league the league. With 12 doubles, 2 triples and 3 home runs his .903 slugging percentage led the league. He also led the league in Batting average, RBI and OPS. His OPS of 1.523 stands as the highest single-season mark since the YBL began tracking league statistics in 2004.
In addition to being named MVP, Browning earned both the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards at third base this season.
