The Yawkey League playoffs open with two best of three series starting Tuesday August 13.

The #3 seed Charlestown Townies (18-13) face the #6 seed Brighton Black Sox (15-17) in one series. While the #4 Stoneham Sabers (17-14) match up with the #5 seed McKay Club Beacons (16-15) in the other.

The #1 seed Revere Rockies (29-2) and #2 seed East Boston Knights (22-9) both received first round byes.

The Yawkey League was recently featured in a Boston Herald article written by John Connolly. The article focuses on YBL veteran and current Brighton Brave Steve Walsh, who recently collected his 300 YBL hit. The article also includes coverage of the Charlestown Townies and the Revere Rockies.
