The Yawkey League semifinals will being on Saturday August 17.

The #1 seed Revere Rockies will take on the #4 seed Stoneham Sabers with the best of five series beginning at 4pm at Revere High School.

In the other series the #2 East Boston Knights will play the #3 Charlestown Townies starting at 8pm at East Boston Stadium.

The Charlestown Townies and Stoneham Sabers both swept their first
round matchups to advance to the semi-finals.

Charlestown shutout out the Black Sox for the series winning 9-0 in game one and 1-0 in game two. Strong starts by Billy Sullivan and Ryan Mcdonald set the tone for the series. Mike Bartlett had three hits in the series, while Brandon Grover, Kyle Hallaoran and Austin Farry each had two hits. The Townies advance to face East Boston in a best of five series that starts on Saturday August 17.

Stoneham would get strong pitching performances by Nick Powers and Luis Gil in beating the Mckay Club 6-1 and 10-1. Curtis Tirone and Nick Powers both collected four hits to pace the Saber offense. The Sabers advance to take on the Revere Rockies in a best of five series beginning Saturday August 17.

The Yawkey League playoffs open with two best of three series starting Tuesday August 13.

The #3 seed Charlestown Townies (18-13) face the #6 seed Brighton Black Sox (15-17) in one series. While the #4 Stoneham Sabers (17-14) match up with the #5 seed McKay Club Beacons (16-15) in the other.

The #1 seed Revere Rockies (29-2) and #2 seed East Boston Knights (22-9) both received first round byes.
