Just two days after being no hit, East Boston gets a no hitter of their own from Raul Martinez. Martinez walked one and struck out twelve, as East Boston gets the 3-0 victory over the Savin Hill Dodgers.
This is Martinez’s rookie season in the Yakwey League. The no hitter comes on Martinez’ fifth start of the seasons. Martinz is now 3-1 only allowing 6 hits and 2 earned runs over 19 innings for a minuscule 0.737 ERA.

On Saturday June 1, Chris Sandini threw a no hitter as the Revere Rockies defeated the East Boston Knights 3-0. Sandini walked one and struck out six in completing the no hitter. With the win, Sandini improves to 2-0. The Rockies remain undefeated on the season at 5-0.
2019 is Sandini’s tenth season in the Yawkey League. Sandini began his Yawkey League career in 2008 with the Bluefish. In his three season with the Bluefish, Sandini was part of back to back championships in 2008 and 2009. After one season in the Park League, Sandini returned to the Yakwey League with Revere.
The no hitter is Sandini’s second with the Rockies. His first no-hitter came back on July 1, 2012 when he no hit the South Boston Saints.

As the NCAA Division 3 Super Regionals take place this weekend, several Yawkey League players will be participating.
Nick Powers of the Stoneham Sabers and Xavier Nunuez of the McKay Club are set to participate for New England College as they take on UMass Boston.
As Babson plays host to SUNY Cortland, three members of the Al Thomas Club Tommy Lapham, Hunter Salem and Alex DiMartino will be suiting up for Babson.
